Te Whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Support Technician (Level 1–2) to join our team at Native Digital.

You’ll be the first point of contact for customer issues while also taking ownership of modern workplace setups, Intune configurations and secure M365 deployments.

This is a hybrid role, part service desk pro, supporting our customers remotely and part hands-on where onsite work is required.

You’ll help our customers get the most out of their technology by balancing reliable support with smart, secure solutions.

Ngā Haepapa Matua - Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for customer support requests (via phone, email, Teams)
  • Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting for Windows, Mac, Microsoft 365, and networking environments
  • Assist with onsite visits, hardware installations, and basic networking tasks when needed
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and Conditional Access policies
  • Roll out and optimise modern Microsoft 365 security features (MFA, Windows Hello for Business, Defender for Endpoint, etc.)
  • Monitor and respond to alerts via our ticketing system, RMM, and backup monitoring tools
  • Maintain accurate records of support tickets, client systems, and resolutions
  • Work closely with the Technical Team Lead for escalations and project delivery
  • Document configurations, setups, and procedures, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Contribute to improving security posture across customer environments
  • Take ownership of assigned IT projects and follow through to completion
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users

Ko koe tēnei - About You

  • Ability to kōrero Māori is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of tikanga Māori essential.
  • 1–2 years experience in IT support or service desk roles (MSP experience ideal)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID)
  • Knowledge of Apple systems
  • Experience with Intune device management, Conditional Access, and M365 security best practices
  • Working understanding of Windows 10/11, networking basics, and endpoint troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive approach — curious, detail-oriented, and customer-focused
  • NZ Citizenship and a full New Zealand driver’s licence.
  • Clean police record
